Zip Line

You've made it to the top of the platform and find yourself staring down at the ground thirty feet below!  As you look out over the surrounding countryside around Glen Rose, you listen intently to the voice of the facilitator sitting next to you providing both instructions and encouragement.  You are being asked to fall forward.  Your heart is pounding and your palms are sweaty.  You look across the lake bed at the other end and again at the ground below.  "Can I do this?" you ask yourself.  With that question still in your head, you make the decision to go.  You lean forward putting all your faith and trust in God and God's people around you.  For just a second, you fall toward the ground and then it happens.  The cable takes over and you find yourself zipping through the air at a rapid rate of speed.  It feels as close to flying as you've ever felt before.  All to quickly it's over and you're back on solid ground wondering why you ever doubted and wondering when it will be your time to fly again!  The zip line adventure at Glen Lake Camp & Retreat Center is available to campers this summer. *Option not available for Kids Kamp or Discovery.
