Welcome to Glen Lake Camp & Retreat Center. We are so glad you have visited our website and for your interest in this ministry that has been changing lives for 70 years. Glen Lake Camp & Retreat Center is owned and operated by the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. Our 55-acre main campus is situated on the Paluxy River in the heart of Glen Rose, Texas where our guests can enjoy the 
beauty of God’s creation as they slow down, focus and rejuvenate. Begun in the 1930’s as a summer camp facility Glen Lake has expanded to be one of the premier retreat facilities in the Central Texas Area, serving the needs of non-profit organizations such as churches, para-church organizations, schools, universities, government and community agencies. Though the face of the ministry has changed with the addition of new state of the art facilities and expanded recreational opportunities, the mission of Glen Lake to promote the three fold spiritual, mental and physical development of young persons and adults as Christians remains at the heart of our existence.
In 2007 Glen Lake closed the final chapter on our 20-year master plan with the addition of Still Water Lodge. With a unanimous vote by the Central Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, Still Water L
odge was purchased to become Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center’s premier adult conference center. This incredible addition to the ministry will help to meet the needs of the existing 20,000 annual guests to Glen Lake and increase services to many new groups seeking private accommodations. The picturesque 40,000 square feet facility is located just one mile west of the main campus, just past the town square.
