VERY IMPORTANT: Each adult that participates in any conference youth event must have had a background check. (An adult is anyone 18 or older-this includes student attendees.) Please make sure this is done when you recruit your adult chaperones and that your background check is current (done yearly). Your church secretary or district secretary should be able to help you with this if needed. Each adult also must have been active in your UMC for at least 6 months before the event.
